Cancellation & Refund Policy

Hike2Heal Recovery CIC · Version 2026-10-06

We understand that sometimes plans change. However, Hike2Heal Recovery CIC often commits to transport, accommodation, venues and activity providers in advance based on participant bookings.

By making a booking with Hike2Heal, you agree to the following cancellation policy.

Day Hikes & Day Activities

Day hikes and other single-day activities are normally paid for in full at the time of booking.

More than 14 days before the activity

If you cancel more than 14 days before the activity, you may be eligible for a refund, less any non-refundable costs already committed by Hike2Heal in relation to your booking.

14 days or less before the activity

Payments are normally non-refundable because transport and other activity costs will usually already have been committed.

Where possible, you may transfer your place to another suitable person. The replacement participant must complete the required booking information, medical declaration and participant agreement before attending.

Weekend Hikes, Retreats & Residential Trips

Weekend hikes, retreats and residential trips may require a deposit to secure your place.

All deposits for weekend hikes, retreats and residential trips are non-refundable.

This is because Hike2Heal may need to secure accommodation, transport, venues and activity providers in advance.

If you cancel your booking, your deposit will not be refunded.

Any remaining balance must be paid by the deadline stated when booking. If the balance is not received by the deadline, Hike2Heal may release your place and your deposit will remain non-refundable.

Cancellation and refund arrangements for any money paid above the deposit will be stated within the individual trip’s booking information.

If Hike2Heal Cancels

If Hike2Heal cancels an activity or trip and cannot provide a suitable alternative, participants will be offered an appropriate refund in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.

Weather & Safety Changes

Outdoor activities can be affected by weather, terrain and other circumstances outside our control.

For safety reasons, Hike2Heal may change the route, distance, itinerary, activity or start time, including at short notice.

A reasonable change made for safety reasons does not automatically mean that the activity has been cancelled.

Late Arrival & Non-Attendance

Participants are responsible for arriving at the advertised meeting point by the stated time.

Where group transport is provided, coaches or minibuses may need to leave promptly and cannot be guaranteed to wait for late participants.

If you miss the departure or do not attend, you will not normally be entitled to a refund.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that genuine emergencies can happen. Hike2Heal may consider exceptional circumstances individually.

Any refund or credit offered in exceptional circumstances will depend on the circumstances and costs already committed by Hike2Heal, subject to your statutory rights.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Cancellation & Refund Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
